Futile

Old tissues, bones, lymph, and blood inverted.
Breaths turn to ashes, and the clever ponder upon light.
Dark is beyond the visible and deep within the recesses of the soul.
No one now cares about the other;
the other has become foreign, and
the foreign turns leaves fallen
from lianas of rusted fences.
Mothers breastfeed and wait
for milk to turn to blood.
An infant sucks blood and turns into a monster.
Alas, who shall live to praise the Word,
to illuminate the Word, and
to say the Word until it creates?
And who shall pamper
and ease the spirits of the living,
heal the wounds of the wounded,
feed the hunger of the starved until saturated?
The year’s end fell on my leap,
like droppings of the dark crow.
The orphan, it’s not the orphan.
I feel today amidst the deluded,
among the restless minds
fed by stupidity.
Plenty of silence; the grave reserved us.
I simulate now in this life’s rehearsal
what it means to be wise.
All futile, all in vain.

Futile

Plus personne ne se soucie de l’autre ;

Askujt nuk i bëhet vonë për tjetrin;
Dhe kush do t’i përkëdhelë
